Staff Profile: BRIGITTE

Known for her chatty demeanor and inspired shoe/tights combinations, Brigitte brings a little glamour to Bakehouse. Pledging her allegiance to many bands, Brigitte plays with the likes of Your Animal, Hot Little Hands and Teeth And Tongue. Brigitte is a talented multi-instrumentalist (claiming to even dabble in the ‘spoon-on-tit' routine on occasion) and is well accustomed to lugging gear to and from gigs. When Brigitte isn't ruling Bakehouse's administration with an iron fist or stashing the chocolate biscuits, she is often out making the most of Melbourne's live music scene.

 

Staff Profile: JARRAD

How Now Jarrad Brown Town! Jarrad Brown is one of the smoothest telephone operators this side of Richmond. He is fond of drawing pictures in ballpoint in our staff communications book and writing bedtime stories about hideous zombie unicorns with eye-tentacles. He is also an intimidatingly good bass player and when he isn't playing or rehearsing in one of his million bands he is probably playing or rehearsing in one of his other bazillion bands. Or working at Bakehouse. Some of his musical exploits include Eagle &The Worm, Custom Kings, Your Animal, Incredible Dead Goons and The Foreign Magicians.

Staff Profile: LIAM

Although only gracing us occasionally now, Liam is the neatest Bakehouse staff member, and you always know where he's been by the symmetrical arrangement and precise height-positioning of the microphone stands. Unlike the rest of the staff, Liam prints his notes neatly instead of scrawling violently across the page, and sometimes cleans the office so effectively that we can't find anything. Liam is also one-third of extremely successful Melbourne band My Disco, and has spent a great deal of the past few years touring nationally and internationally, living out of suitcases and vans and having his clothes stolen.

Staff Profile: BEN

Ben Morrison, office legend and janitor extrodinaire. In his spare time away from writing symphonies, performing in his one man band extravaganza, The Incredible Dead Goons and other activities that require genius, Ben fearlessly confronts the Bakehouse ghouls with his ginseng energy drinks and faithful mop, giving the place a touch of love and pine scent.

Staff Profile: JIM

Jim Patterson, janitor exceptional. Amazing pianist, singer, songwiter and wierd lover of broken keyboards. Genius is again the main criteria for a cleaning job at Bakehouse. Say hi to Jim on Fridays and Sundays.
